Bee Whisperer Dictionary

Bees:
There are more than 4,000 species of bee across North America. The honeybee is just one of them.
2.
Hive:
The physical space (in which), and the combs (on which) honeybees live.
3.
Colony:
The honeybee family, including the queen, worker bees, drones and brood.
4.
Brood:
Honeybee larvae, pupae, and those going through metamorphosis, i.e. baby bees.
5.
Cutouts:
Opening physical structures to remove honeybees and their hive.
6.
Swarm:
A traveling group of honeybees, and their queen looking for a new place to live.
7.
Queen Bee:
The only fertile female bee in a colony, the mother of all bees in the colony.
8.
Worker:
Infertile female bee who completes all labor performed in and out of the hive.
