Strip Mall Internet Box

When we got the call from a candy company, I was excited. I have a sweet tooth, and yes, I have a hard time passing up good candies, so I sampled. Oh, they had honey bees in a telecom box outside the back of the kitchen and needed our help. I was also a little bit anxious about what I would find inside the box. I have a lot of experience with tiny single lead wires (commonly called spaghetti wires, though vermicelli or capellini are closer to the right size) running from contacts and throughout the box. Having seen combs on cable and phone lines in apartment complexes, I wasn’t looking forward to removing wax from skatie-eight-million (that’s an nautical term of measurement) thin wires. Pleasant surprises came my way, not that many wires at all.
