We use thermal imaging cameras to locate the exact parameters of the hive to minimize the cut. This is far more advanced and accurate than the traditional stethoscope.

We carefully remove brick, siding, soffit, or drywall. Where feasible, we try to remove materials in whole pieces for easier repair.

All combs are removed by hand. Brood combs will be saved in a portable hive box. Many of the nurse bees will remain with those combs. Honey will be bucketed, sans bees. The remaining bees are low-pressure-vacuumed into a bee safe container.

The void is scraped clean and primed with paint to mask bee pheromones. We will close the area to prevent weather and/or pest from entering the void space. We will instruct your contractor on the best way to repair the area to prevent further incursions.

Neighborhood bees and wasps, looking for a free meal are attracted outside the area as we work. This is normal and should subside after a couple of days.
